Getting started
Install, open a file, save your work and make a backup.
Updated 21 October 2026 · Steps describe the prepared Windows apps. Options vary by document mode.
Before installing
The public release is still being prepared. This preview does not collect payment or provide a public installer download. When downloads open, use the installer supplied with your purchase.
The prepared builds are for Windows 11 on an Intel/AMD 64-bit computer. Local AI needs additional memory and disk space for the model you choose.
Install the three separate apps
- Download KeepSuite-Setup.exe from the official purchase or download page. If it arrives in a ZIP, use Extract All first.
- Open the setup window and follow its steps. The planned customer release uses online purchase-code verification; the production activation service is still being prepared.
- Choose Folio, Ledger and/or Stage. Each app has its own icon, window and local library.
- Open an app from its desktop shortcut, Start menu, or pinned taskbar icon. Keep a copy of the installer for later.
If Windows blocks an installer or does not recognize its publisher, stop and contact support. Public signing is still being finalized; do not disable your computer’s protections to install a preview.
Create or open your work
- Choose File → New to create a document, workbook or presentation.
- Choose File → Open to select a file already saved in that app.
- Use Browse this computer… to import a file from a folder, Downloads or an external drive.
- Use the app’s title field to give the work a clear name.
Saved files are opened from File → Open. A document library sidebar is not required. Right-click a pinned app icon on the Windows taskbar for New and recent saved files; Windows controls whether recent items are shown.
Local saving and portable backups
The apps keep separate working libraries on this computer. Watch the saved/saving status beside the title and resolve a save error before closing.
For a separate file you can move or back up, use Export and choose .folio, .ledger or .stage. Keep this native copy in a folder or drive you control. Export DOCX, XLSX, PPTX or PDF separately when you need to share.
Saving to the app’s library is different from exporting an independent backup. There is no automatic KeepSuite cloud backup.
